It’s rare that I actually write about one specific topic; therefore creating titles for the days entry are sometimes challenging. With that said, this entry, as you may have guessed, is going to be a mix match of various items running through my mind. I’m so much fun, right?
Just to add, I’ve been on the phone with one single person for over a half hour assisting him with his enrollment through our website. This is a very elderly person. I really have to pee.
I believe I mentioned earlier this week about the animated horse that Lisa and I saw at Costco, you can see details of this horse here; I told my Mom about this horse and she sounded like she wanted to see it for herself and like she was considering buying it for Amelia. As I was reading the details of Butterscotch, I was reminded of a popular toy about 10 years ago: Furby. Who doesn’t remember Furby? I had a Furby. The only difference between Butterscotch and Furby is that we know what Butterscotch is whereas no one knew what animal/creature Furby was. That and the size difference of the two is night and day (12 inches vs. 36 inches).
Have I mentioned how much I love having the ability to chat with Greg, via email, through out the work day? I love it when he sends me little lovey emails.
Oh! One day I was thinking about birthdays and my birthday is on the 2nd, Amelia’s is on the 12th and Greg is the 24th; well if you multiply 2×12=24 (i’m weird about numbers) and then I was thinking about Amelia’s due date of January 23rd and Greg’s birthday is April 24th; well, nine months from Greg’s birthday is January… so I guess you can all assume what Greg and I did for his 28th birthday… LOL.
Have I mentioned how much I hate useless driving (meaning errands after or before work)? I have to stop at a Cingular/AT&T place about my cell phone and how it’s started to corrode where the batter charger goes - not a good sign - and that the phone no longer charges and I’m already below half on battery power and I don’t have a back-up phone; anyway it’s a pet peeve of mine to have to drive to places during the week, especially after work. All I want to do is go home. Thankfully, there is a Cingular/AT&T location within walking distance. I just worry about Amelia and her level of patience; but I feel she’ll do well.
The Ralston Social Club has been cancelled for this weekend, so Greg and I don’t really have any plans (confirmed). This weekend marks the anniversary of Van’s Mom passing and I asked Mom to come up here so we can do some dress shopping for Amelia and possibly get her pictures taken (today I found my ‘paper life’ and saw that the only valid coupon I have is with Sears Potrait. Greg and I really enjoyed the experiance we had with JC Penny so I’m going to have to do a little more hunting for coupons). Mom said she would once she knows what Van wants to do. Other than that, we don’t have anything planned. Oh wait, we’re going to do a little shopping at Target for Greg and Amelia (she needs more socks since we’ve already lost more than half of her socks over the last week) and pick up a few small things for the condo and maybe do some window shopping for the Holidays.
Speaking of the Holidays and Shopping, I suggested to my Mom of a gift that she and Van could get for us (being Greg and Me) and that would be a nice photo printer. Greg is suppose to be compiling a list of the nice printers, their price, and where they can be purchased. Then I informed Mom of some gift ideas for Sean and what Greg and I have been thinking about doing. In any event, a lot to consider…
