Going Places…

Greg and I have decided to take a trip in September (kind of a mutual ‘agreement’ to our previous discussion about WDW and the spontaneous trip) as a ‘one year to go’ celebration. We’ve agreed that it’s going to be a short trip, 3-4 days max, and our budget is a thousand dollars max, therefore we want to make sure we get the most ‘bang for our buck’ possible. We’re stuck; the only two ‘bang for your buck’ places are: Vegas and WDW. Both, of which have advantages: if we go to Vegas, we can drive to AZ to see the Grand Canyon and if we go to WDW, I can see some friends and maybe some family. But, neither are really calling out to us. We want something different, yet cheap and doesn’t require a lot of travel time (or costs to travel). This is going to require some serious searching; any suggestions?

This weekend starts the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C. and Greg and I are planning to go, assuming the washer is repaired in a timely manor (estimated tech arrival time is between 8-12). It has been years (at least 20) since I’ve been to the Cherry Blossom Festival  and I am really hoping we can make it this year.

There is less than two months until we fly out to Michigan and spend Memorial Day weekend with Greg’s Dad and Step-Mom, Denise. I haven’t really thought about the trip much since there’s, still, a lot of time until the ‘big day’.

This summer we’re still planning another stay in Ocean City, but this time with some family members (Mom, Sean, Aaron, April, Olivia, etc). As soon as I receive my bonus money (not the ’stimulus’ bonus), I am going to seek a place to rent for a few days in OC.

And, there is the cruise… which is so, very, far away… oh, but we’re getting so, very, excited!!

Cape Cod has a lot of bang for your buck. ;) And I HEART cherry blossom festival!!!!

I’ve been to MA before; stayed in Canton and spent the week riding the T into Boston! It was the last vacation I had, up until now…

Boston rocks. :)
